The Air In Here
Thursday, November 2nd, 2006Naturally, we spend more time indoors during the Autumn and Winter months. What with rising energy costs - both financial and ethical - and the desire to stay snug, we find ourselves opening the windows less often, if at all. This means less “fresh” air in our homes. Trapped air is a wonderfully efficient insulator, but can unfortunately compound the damage perpetrated by toxic household products. During these cold times of year, it becomes especially important to minimize one’s exposure to environmental poisons. Be certain to use safe, natural cleaning products, such as the “Organic and Nature” line available here at bluehouse, when cleaning your home. Many surfaces can be scoured with baking soda & vinegar. And whatever you do, eliminate bleach, the tyrant king of respiratory irritants.
